Anthony Fettes

Anthony is a Landscape Architect and Ecologist with fifteen years of combined experience in natural resource inventory, restoration ecology, and regenerative design. Joining Sasaki in 2011, he has contributed to over 120 design and master planning projects globally, working at the intersection of ecology and the built environment to promote biodiversity, climate adaptation, and resilient ecosystem services. Wearing many hats within the firm, Anthony collaborates closely with design teams, consultants, and clients, employing a systems-based approach to explore site and planning-scale strategies that have a positive social and ecological impact. Though this work, he has contributed to more than fifteen award-winning projects including the Chicago Riverwalk and the LEED Gold® master plan for Las Salinas in Viña del Mar, Chile.

As a Senior Associate, Anthony is actively involved thought leadership and knowledge-sharing, regularly presenting at conferences and universities, in addition to serving as adjunct faculty at Rhode Island School of Design and Boston Architectural College. He holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of New Mexico, and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management & Conservation Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Coastal Solutions Fellowship Program

The Coastal Solutions Fellows Program builds and supports an international community to design and implement solutions that address coastal challenges across the Pacific Americas Flyway. Our main goal is to conserve coastal habitats and shorebird populations by building the knowledge, resources, and skills of Latin American professionals, and by fostering collaborations among multiple disciplines and sectors.
