Application Process for the Coastal Solutions Fellows Program

Interested candidates should read carefully the Guidelines to Prepare a Pre-Proposal before preparing and sending an application. Pre-proposals must be submitted through the Coastal Solutions platform, where the pre-proposal file can be uploaded in PDF format. The deadline for Pre-Proposals is September 2, 2022.
Application Process & Important Dates

|Selected candidates receive an invitation to submit a full proposal
|Notification: September 23, 2022
|Candidates prepare and submit a full proposal
|Deadline: November 4, 2022
|Selected fellows receive a confirmation letter
|Notification: January 2023
|Fellowship begins with the fellows/mentors training retreat
|Fellow begins: March 20, 2023
Pre-proposals will be evaluated and prioritized using the following criteria:
- Leadership abilities of the candidates and their capacity to integrate different sectors and disciplines in their professional development.
- Desired outcomes of the project are feasible and align with the goals of the CSF Program.
- Strong multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaborations.
- Impact on priority sites along the Pacific Coast of Latin America.
The program staff will notify candidates on the status of their pre-proposals in November 2021.
Candidates whose pre-proposals are approved will receive an invitation to submit a full proposal.
The deadline for full proposals is November 4, 2022, and the selected fellows will be announced in January 2023.
The new cohort will begin their fellowship on March 20, 2023.
